Our History
Maximum Legal Services Corporation (“MaxCorp”) is Hawaii’s only full service charitable non-profit corporation (501(c)(3) organization) providing comprehensive legal, fiduciary, social and administrative services for trusts, estates, guardianships and conservatorships for people of all ages across the State of Hawaii.
With MaxCorp’s team of attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, social workers, and bookkeepers, individuals and their families can have peace of mind that MaxCorp, as an independent, neutral third-party, will provide high quality and cost-effective professional services balanced with a personalized and thoughtful approach to managing sensitive matters.
Since 1988, MaxCorp’s mission has been to provide excellence in legal services and assistance to persons of all ages who would not otherwise be able to obtain or afford adequate legal representation. MaxCorp was originally created by the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii and was initially housed at Legal Aid and funded by a loan and grants from the Hawaii Justice Foundation. Today, the agency is an independent, self-supporting non-profit organization funded by fees for services and limited grants and donations.
