MaxCorp Staff Attorney Malia Alexander has been selected as a 2021 Fellow of the Hawaii State Bar Association Leadership Institute. The Leadership Institute was developed in 2008 and 2009 as a result of the bar’s strategic planning process, in which leadership development became a key focus. The Leadership Institute encourages diversity among the leaders of the bar by recruiting and targeting members with 3-15 years of practice and have a keen interest in expanding their talents and services to the bar and community at large. Former MaxCorp Executive Director Retired Judge Riki Amano leads the Leadership Institute programming each year. Former MaxCorp Executive Director Justine Herrera and current MaxCorp Executive Director Miyoko Pettit-Toledo are past Leadership Institute Fellows and currently serve on the HSBA Leadership Institute Advisory Board. Miyoko is one of the 2021 HSBA Leadership Institute Co-Facilitators.
